Shiatsu is Japanese bodywork based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. A session begins with work on the abdomen. The practitioner discovers which meridians are the most yin and yang.*

Although each treatment is different, shiatsu always includes stretching, rotation of joints, and rhythmic pressure along the channels that need attention.

*Yin means low in energy:
fatigue, muscular weakness.
Yang means too much energy:
hyperactivity, muscular tension.
